Petroleum pipes are mainly used for drilling oil and gas wells and oil and gas transportation. It includes oil drill pipes, oil casings, and pumping pipes. Oil drill pipe is mainly used to connect drill collars and drill bits and transmit drilling power. Oil casing is mainly used to support the wellbore during and after drilling to ensure the normal operation of the drilling process and the whole well after completion. The pumping pipe mainly transports the oil and gas from the bottom of the well to the surface.
Oil casing is the lifeblood that keeps oil wells running. Due to the different geological conditions, the downhole stress state is complex, and the comprehensive action of tensile, compressive, bending and torsional stress acts on the pipe body, which puts forward higher requirements for the quality of the casing itself. Once the casing itself is damaged for some reason, it can lead to a reduction in production of the entire well, or even scrapping.
According to the strength of the steel itself, the casing can be divided into different steel grades, namely J55, K55, N80, L80, C90, T95, P110, Q125, V150, etc. The well condition and well depth are different, and the steel grade used is also different. In corrosive environments, the casing itself is also required to be corrosion-resistant. In places with complex geological conditions, the casing is also required to have anti-collapse properties.
• Drilling operations: Oil casing is installed in oil or natural gas wells, which can effectively maintain the integrity of the wellbore structure, prevent the collapse of the wellbore, and isolate the fluids in different formations to prevent mutual interference
• Production operations: In the production process, the oil casing plays a role in controlling the transportation of fluids, ensuring that oil and gas can be transported according to the predetermined path, and due to its good sealing performance, it can effectively prevent fluid leakage and ensure production safety.
• Conveying operation: In the long-distance transportation process of oil and natural gas, the oil casing, as the main conveying pipeline, can withstand high pressure and temperature to ensure the continuity and stability of transportation. In addition, oil casing can also reduce heat loss and maintain the conveying temperature through heat tracing.
• Special environment applications: In severe cold environments such as polar regions, oil casing needs to have good low-temperature toughness to prevent brittle fracture caused by low temperature; In the marine environment, it is necessary to have good corrosion resistance
